Manoa Falls

Saturday was our 1 month mark since arrived here in Hawaii; to celebrate we decided to hike Manoa Falls. I’ll let the pictures do most of the taking, but overall we had a blast and I’m so glad that this is how we spent our day. J
Entrance to the Hike

Ben volunteered to carry Benson saying that he was an Eagle
Scout who had carried much heavier packs while hiking.
So of course I didn't object one tiny little bit. ;)
Look at these the Gigantic leaves!

Crossing  the bridge
(It was so lush it was hard to see the river below)

Flowers

Bamboo

If you can't tell my super STUDLY Hubby is lifiting
this tree off the trail so other hikers can get by ;)

When you find a heart shaped stump
you can't just leave it alone ;)

The bottom of the falls Manoa Falls
(I dont know why we didny get a shot of the whole
thing because it was pretty impressive. Sorry) :/

We made it!

MUDD!

After hiking back down we stopped in at a little place called
"Rainbow's End Shave Ice" and got us sme delicious Shaved Ice

I got 3 flavors (you can have as many as you like)
wedding cake, dreamsicle, and Blue Hawaii
YUMMY!

Once we FINALLY made it home. :)

Once we werere juvenated by our delicious shaved ice we headed for home. We got to the bus stop just in time before the bus headed off ( the bus only comes once a hour on Saturdays) and we thought everything was great until we realized  we didn’t know the route of the bus we were on….. so being the smart ones we are we kinda jumped off the bus at the next stop (only two stops down the mountain).
As soon as the bus drove away we discovered that the bus we had just jumped off of was the only bus that went up and down the mountain and another one wouldn’t come for another hour. Awesome!  So we started our hike down the mountain through the neighborhoods looking at the beautiful million dollar homes. We walked and walked and walked all the way down and through the city. When we found out where we were, we ended up walking the rest of the way home since we would have to transfer busses twice to get home and we didn’t want to end up waiting for them since they only came once an hour.  By the time we arrived home at 4:30 all three of us were SWEATY, MUDDY and EXHAUSTED!  We showered and decided not to lift a finger the rest of the day.

Ah, what memories! :D
