Today I am thankful for music. I guess I should revise my statement and say that I am grateful for GOOD music, uplifting music and especially music that touches you r heart!
This morning at church we had stake conference where we actually got a new stake presidency. It was a really nice meeting but my goodness the music was awesome and super powerful especially when they sang "The Spirit of God". I remember having to try to stop tears from rolling out my eyes 2 or 3 different times.
I know music can definitely bring the spirit to your heart and at some moment’s even pierce your soul. I love those moments!!! They are simply fantastic and maybe even slightly embarrassing when you're caught crying. But it never seems to matter because you know that you are feeling this unseen power that allows your soul to feel the spirit so strongly!
I am sure most of us who go to church have had similar experiences to the one I had today. I believe music is one of Gods most wonderful gifts. I love how there seems to be a song for every emotion you may feel whether it is spiritual, romantic or heart ache. I love listening to music while working on projects or homework or even when I am down. I am thankful for those creative minds who have shared their talents that I might be able to enjoy them. I am grateful to have ears that allow me to hear the beautiful blessings music can bring. Today I am thankful for music!
