December and January

Finally I am getting around to updating my blog again…Yipee!! As you can imagine a lot has happened since I last posted in the beginning of December.  

On Dec. 15^th we went in and got our 3^rd ultra sound and this is what our little one looked like:

This was a really fun ultrasound for me because the baby looked pretty well formed and was dancing up a storm for us. Since we decided to go ahead and do the “NT Test” (a test that consists of a small blood sample and an in-depth ultra sound to screen for down syndrome and a few other abnormalities) we got about 20-25 minutes to watch our little one move around. It was awesome seeing our baby wave it’s arms in the air and turn back and forth and play peek-a-boo with the ultrasound tech. It definitely confirmed that this child is going to be a big mover just like it’s daddy!

Of course at this point I was only about 13 weeks so we were still unable to tell the gender, but all of the test results came out FANTASTIC for both myself and the baby, which was a huge relief and a great Christmas present.

On Dec. 20^th Ben and I headed off on our lovely Japan adventure! The 12 hour flights and layovers in L.A. were not my favorite, but Japan was a BLAST! I loved traveling with my hubby and not having to worry about anything other than just enjoying our time.

We traveled all over Tokyo saw practically all of the major attractions and visited almost every area where he served.  You should have seen how he lit up over there when he got to meet up with old friends and companions and speak with them. He was in Heaven! Of course I didn’t understand anything so I just sat back and smiled trying to act like I knew was going on most of the time lol. All in all it was a Fantastic trip and a wonderful blessing that we were able to go there for Christmas this year.

We came back just in time for New Years Eve and we ended up spending a lot of time with all of Ben’s family since all nine kid’s were in town for once for his little brother Chris’s farewell (the youngest of the 9 children). It certainly was a good time having everyone around again!

On January 23^rd Ben and I were lucky enough to go in to the doctor and get to find out the sex of our own little one!!  The verdict is in and had been reconfirmed by two other doctors that were having a baby…BOY!!!!

That’s right I was wrong the whole time! Our baby is definitely a bouncing baby Boy!!! He will arrive sometime in June and he will be named Benson Porter LeSueur. Ben and I are Thrilled!!!

So there you have it those are a few of the things we have experienced since our last update. Hopefully I can be a little more diligent in my blogging since I don’t feel SO behind anymore.
