Baby update!

So it’s time for another update!

Last time I blogged this is what our baby looked like:

At 8 weeks we got another ultrasound and this is what our baby looked like just two weeks later!!!

I was amazed at the growth and development in just two short weeks. We went from having a little peanut with a blinking heart beat to a “gummy bear” with a head, body, umbilical cord and legs and arm buds. It was a great visit!! And the doctors said that the baby looks like its doing PERFECT!

Today Ben and I went in for our third visit where we were scheduled to do an ultrasound and hear the heart beat of the baby. Unfortunately we were the last appointment of the day and they said we would be too late to do an ultrasound. So we just did a few other tests and then we got to hear our little ones heart beat! It was at 170, which the doctor exclaimed was Perfect!! That brought a big smile to our faces.

Even though we were not able to be ubber spoiled and have our 3rd ultrasound on our 3rd visit, I was so happy that we went today. Ben and I got to feel my little bump and kinda find where the heartbeat was on tummy. Of course were not 100% sure we really found it, but it was a still an exciting adventure searching for  the little baby growing inside of me. Wer'e excited to go back for our last visit before the holidays next Thursday where we will get to see our baby at 12 weeks! I am sure the growth will be phenomenal and were going to end up gushing more than ever about our sweet little baby!!

As far as my baby bump goes, I am not exactly showing yet, which I think is normal at this point. I can certainly tell that my body is changing though.  Thankfully I have been one of the "Lucky  Ones"  . . so far,  who's magically been able to avoid common thinkgslike morning sickness and other  crummy pregnancy symptoms. However, I am keeping my fingers tightlycrossed and knocking on wood everytime I say that though, just in case.

Tuesday night Ben’s work had their annual Christmas party! It was at Dave and Busters (which is like a Chuckie Cheeses' for adults)  and had delicious Mexican food (which by the way has been my #1 craving so far followed by the occasional yummy snickers!). We had a lot of fun chatting and eating before we got to go out and play a some fun/ free games. The best thing we did by far was a  handy thing called “The Gene Machine.”  We went into a photo booth type thing and it took a picture of both Ben and I and then showed us what our kiddo’s would potentially look like. They are Hilarious!!

Here is the girl it gave us:

This photo totally made me laugh because I can't see myself in  this little girl at all! I have told  Ben on several occasions that I want our children to look like him and guess what.... according to this, they will be little Ben Clones! Oh by the way please excuse the awful hair style I think the machine was made in 1993 or something like that lol jk.

Here is our potential Son:

Okay in this little guy I can see a better mix of the both  Ben and I, which makes me like this picture a lot more. As well as the fact that he kinda  looks a lot like my brother when he was younger, which I think is  pretty cool.

As soon as we were done with the "Gene Machine" Ben was quick to point out that both pictures show  children with ears that resemble my lovely unique ears… which he LOVED…. But boy oh boy do I hope they miss out on that gene lol.

Obviously these are probably both 100% false , but they are still lots of fun to look at and i thought you guys might get a kick out of them just like we did.

Anyways there is my update! Things are going well! I feel good and as far as we call tell baby is doing super good as well!

Please continue to keep us in your payers! They are seriously working and blessing our lives!
