Truly Blessed

So far I think the hardest thing about blogging is picking an actual topic. For example at this very moment I can think of 3 or 4 different things I want to write about, but hopefully I will be able to cover all of them with just  one blanket topic called  “Life’s Blessings.”

 Pretty much for the last 9 months of my life I have felt as if I am almost lost in a fairytale being married to my best friend in the whole world! Together we have faced some pretty big adventures and overcome some obstacles, yet overall it has all been wonderful, and for that I feel truly blessed.

However, this past month or so has been an exceptionally amazing one! Ben and I enjoyed a much needed spring break. We kicked it off with a two weddings (one a family members and the other a good friend’s.)  Then  throughout the rest of the break we did other activities like  we planted a garden, went to the zoo, paintedg our bedroom and other finished the finishing touches in  decorating our  apartment. We  finished the break by taking a short vacation to visit my cousin Celeste  and her husband in Thatcher and we had a BLAST!

Of course since then our weeks haven’t been quite as adventurous or exciting, but for some reason I have just felt extra blessed and extra happy with life. Here is a list of some of my most recent “blessings.”

1.      Last weekend April 1^st / my Moms 50^th Birthday, my parents got remarried!!! :D (I will do a post with details and pictures soon)

2.      Ben had his 23^rd Birthday! It was a wonderful Ben and Lauri day! We went to Ihop for breakfast, Cheesecake Factory for dinner and a whole lot of fun in between.

3.      General Conference was great and rejuvenated my soul!

4.      I have been trying to cook  a lot  better and have tried out a few new recipes this week, so far they have all been a yummy success!!

·         Spaghetti Squash

·         Macaroni Salad

·         Herbed roasted potatoes

·         Feta cheese Scones

5.      Last but certainly not least Ben got a new job! He is one of the newest employees at “Blue Sky Pest control”. Two of his good friends have worked there and recommended him. He applied for this job almost a month or so ago and has had two interviews and several phone calls discussing the matter. Finally last night we were  notified that he finally landed the job. We feel really lucky and Ben is really excited to have a good paying professional job.

SO there you go, there are a few of my most recent blessing that I am truly grateful for! I hope that as you read about some of my blessing you willbe able to reflect or recognize a few of  your blessings. Keep smiling!
